Dieses Installationskit ermöglicht die Montage eines Aftermarket-Stereos in Ihrem Volvo C30, C70, S40, V50. Komplettes Kit (ohne Stereo) mit allen benötigten Kabeln sowie Rahmen zur Montage Ihrer Einzel-DIN Haupteinheit. Mit diesem Paket behalten Sie zudem die Knopffunktionen am Lenkrad bei. Das Paket passt zu allen unten genannten Modellen mit passivem System, also den Modellen, die keinen Verstärker unter dem Beifahrersitz vorne haben. Mit diesem Kit können Sie leicht ein Signal vom Stereo zu einem externen Verstärker bekommen, um z.B. einen Subwoofer anzuschließen.

Da Volvo sich für ein einzigartiges und sehr kleines Format seiner eingebauten Stereoanlagen entschieden hat, müssen Sie den Originalrahmen des Autos modifizieren. Der Eingriff ist einfach durchzuführen, bedeutet aber, dass der Stereorahmen nicht wiederhergestellt werden kann.

Das Aftermarket-Stereo wird dort montiert, wo sich heute das Display befindet, was bedeutet, dass man die Möglichkeit verliert, Temperatur, Zeit usw. zu sehen. Man wird auch nicht in der Lage sein, das Menü im Display zu ändern, z.B. für Spiegel oder das Alarmsystem.
