Run in new brake discs:
To maximise the lifespan of brake discs, you should drive with gentle braking during the first 500 kilometres. It's also advisable to avoid keeping your foot on the brake pedal during long stops after hard braking, such as at traffic lights. Always wait to wash your Volvo until the brakes have cooled down, or avoid water spraying onto the hot discs during washing.
