Breaking in new brake discs:
To maximise the life of your brake discs, you should drive with gentle braking for the first 500 km (310 miles). It's also best to avoid keeping your foot on the brake pedal for longer periods after a hard stop, for example at traffic lights. Always let the brakes cool down before washing your Volvo, or at least try to avoid getting water on the hot discs.
With these simple tips in mind, you'll help your new brake discs work well for a long time to come.
