This installation kit allows you to install an aftermarket stereo in your Volvo C30, C70, S40, V50. A complete kit (stereo not included) with all the cables needed and a frame for installation of your single-DIN main unit. With this kit, you can keep the button controls on the steering wheel. The kit fits all the models listed below that have a passive system, i.e. models that don't have amplifiers under the front passenger seat. With this kit you can easily send a signal from the stereo to an external amplifier to connect a subwoofer (for example).

Since Volvo has chosen to use a unique and very small format for its built-in stereo units, you will need to modify the car's original frame. The procedure is easy to perform, but means that the original stereo frame can't be re-installed.

The aftermarket stereo is installed where the display is currently located, which means that you will no longer be able to see the temperature, time, etc. You also won't be able change the menu in the display, for the mirrors or the alarm, for example.
