With this package, you retain the functionality of the buttons on the steering wheel. You can also get a signal from the stereo to an external amplifier, for example, to connect a subwoofer. The package fits all the models mentioned below from 2005 to 2013 that have a passive sound system – meaning no amplifier under the front passenger seat.

Note:
As Volvo has chosen to use a unique and very small format for their built-in stereo units, you will need to modify the car's original frame. The modification is easy to perform, but it means that the stereo frame cannot be restored.

The aftermarket stereo is mounted where the original display is located, which means you lose the display of temperature, clock, and other functions. You also cannot adjust settings in the display menu, such as mirror settings or alarms.
If you have a Dynaudio sound system and parking sensors, the reverse sensors will not work with this kit.
