Cabin air filter using carbon for the Volvo S40 and V40 00-04. This is not a standard filter and instead uses carbon to thoroughly clean the air of harmful dust and other dangerous particles which you do not wish to breathe in. Regular drivers in towns and cities have a higher exposure to exhaust gases and brake dust and this carbon filter is well worth the extra cost for peace of mind. Similar in function to a gas mask carbon filters!

Cabin air filters should be replaced periodically to prevent mould impairing the filter and causing odours. Problems with condensation on the inside of the windows can be an indication that the filter is impaired and needs to be replaced. We recommend an activated carbon filter for the S40 and V40 as this provides additional protection against harmful particles in the air.
