De remblokken hebben een oppervlak met schuurmiddel, zodat het remblok zich snel aanpast aan het oppervlak van de remschijf.
Tijdens het inrijden van nieuwe remblokken kan er een piepend geluid ontstaan bij het remmen. Dit geluid verdwijnt na een paar honderd kilometer rijden. Houd er rekening mee dat rustig inrijden wordt aanbevolen met nieuwe remblokken en schijven.
