Het spiegelglas is van het asferische glastype. Dit betekent dat het spiegelglas een verschillende mate van vergroting heeft over het spiegeloppervlak. Het middengedeelte van het spiegelglas heeft een iets hogere vergroting om de auto's erachter duidelijk te laten zien, terwijl de periferie een lagere vergroting heeft om een groter geheel achter je Volvo vast te leggen. Dit is niet vreemd, want het spiegelglas is op dezelfde manier gefabriceerd als je originele Volvo-spiegelglas voor S60, S80 och V70.
Het spiegelglas is gelaagd waardoor een waterafstotend effect ontstaat, kleine druppels verzamelen zich tot grote druppels en lopen weg. Het contact voor elektrische verwarming aan de achterkant van het glas is verbonden met het contact in de spiegelbehuizing.
