Een stabilisatorstang wordt ook wel stabilisatorstang of K-stang genoemd. Ze zijn bedoeld om het overhellen van je Volvo in bochten tegen te gaan. Wanneer de stangen versleten zijn, hoor je een kloppend geluid tijdens het rijden over kleine oneffenheden zoals spoorwegovergangen en kleine gaten in de weg. De stabilisatorstangen zijn eenvoudig te vervangen omdat je geen andere onderdelen van de voorwiel ophanging hoeft los te maken. Het komt echter vaak voor dat de moeren na jaren op hun plek vastzitten. Een tip is om ruim van tevoren wat 5-56 op de moeren te spuiten voordat je de oude stangen losdraait.
