Het spiegelglas is van het type convex glas. Dit betekent dat het spiegelglas de grootste vergroting heeft in het midden van het spiegeloppervlak. Het middelste gedeelte van het spiegelglas heeft een iets sterkere vergroting om achteropkomend verkeer duidelijk te laten zien, terwijl de periferie een lagere vergroting heeft om een breder beeld achter je Volvo te geven. Dit is volkomen normaal, want het spiegelglas is op dezelfde manier gemaakt als het originele Volvo spiegelglas voor deze modellen.
De aansluiting voor elektrische verwarming aan de achterkant van het glas wordt verbonden met de aansluiting in de spiegelbehuizing.
